The combined conference will address all aspects of optoelectronics and optical communications, from waveguide and propagation theory, through components and subsystems to systems and networks. Attendees will further benefit from the interdisciplinary opportunities offered by the co-located of the conference with the triennial meeting of the ICO. A full social program, focused around the beauty of Sydney and its harbour will also be offered.

For over 20 years, the International Conference on Optical Fibre Sensors (OFS) has provided a vibrant forum for reporting the latest advances in fibre-optic and photonic sensing technologies and related devices, as well as fostered the exchange of knowledge and ideas within the research and industrial communities. The field continues to provide a rich tapestry of optical technologies and applications. The conference series is held every 18 months, in rotation between North America, Europe and Asia.
